Better Than My Idols - I've been on a mission to defy the odds, spending much of my spare time over the past 6 years trying to crack the code on getting people to listen to my art on their own time. I've asked if I've become delusional many times along this journey, as I feel like I've really created many masterpieces that continue to get overlooked. The idea for Better Than My Idols originated from this frustration, and in braggadocious hip-hop fashion, I decided I had to make the most perceived outlandish claims (even though I believe them) to get even the slightest attention. The concept further evolved, whereby I wished to demonstrate my personal growth journey, as I’ve put forth a tireless work ethic to chase down the ultimate happiness and purpose of life. Through these efforts, I’ve become the most comfortable in my skin that I have ever been, chasing down the ultimate levels of self confidence and assurance. The music is release therapy, and also my daily mantra to constantly remind myself that I am just as good as any soul on the face of the earth, and that I shall not put any other human being on a pedestal. As my father humbly repeated throughout my life “We are not better than anyone, but no one is better than us.” I hope this inspires you to rock this merch with pride, and I love you for getting this far.
